Music Ministry
Music at Grace Lutheran is an important part of
the life of the congregation. The following opportunities are
available for adults and children.
Spirit of Grace
The praise band at Grace Lutheran Church, "Spirit of Grace" leads
the music at our 10:45 Contemporary Service.
With the use of electric and acoustic guitars, bass, keyboards,
percussion and vocals, the band leads the congregation in songs of
worship and praise.
Spirit of Grace has released 2 original music CD's. To find out more,
see the bands website at
www.spiritofgracemusic.com.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is open to all adults and
high school students wishing to make a joyful noise to the Lord. The
choir sings most Sundays from September through June, as well as
Christmas Eve and Holy Week.
The choir rehearses on Wednesday night in the choir room, from 7:30
to 9.
The choir season is broken into 5 mini-sessions, allowing those who
are unable to commit to the choir for the entire year to sing for a
portion of it. It is not necessary to read music to participate in
the chancel choir.

Bell Choir
Our bell choir rehearses on Wednesday
evenings and plays numerous times
throughout the year during Sunday morning worship and on special
holy days. This is a great opportunity for someone who does not read
music, but
would like to be part of this beautiful musical group.
Vocal Soloists and Instrumentalists
Numerous opportunities exist for vocal soloists and solo instrumentalists wishing to use their gifts to the glory of God. If you are interested, contact us at music.gracelutrn@verizon.net.
Cantatas
The Chancel Choir presents Cantatas on the fourth Sunday of Advent and Palm Sunday of each year. Those wishing to join the choir for these events only are invited to do so. Rehearsals are usually held on the four Sundays prior to each cantata, after the 10:45 service for 2 hours.
Worship Leaders
Individuals with a strong hymn singing voice are invited to serve as worship leaders for certain services. Serving as a worship leader involves singing the congregational hymns from the microphone, and sometimes assisting in the teaching of new hymns.
