Ministry
Mission Statement
To
provide activities that young people would not normally get in their schools or
other social groups.
Each
of our events contain all of the following components:

FUN!!
Senior High Lutheran Youth (SLY)
Senior High Lutheran Youth, also known as SLY, meets
the first Sunday of every month, after late church for its monthly meeting. The
monthly meeting includes lunch, devotions and a service project. All youth in
9th through 12th grades are invited. In addition, we also have other events
that come up periodically. The weekly ledger and the monthly newsletter will
have further details.
Services:

Spring
and Fall cleanups

"Joy
of Serving" retreat

Helping
Hands retreat - 350 youth assist in local community outreach projects

Puppet
shows
-
Serve
dinner to the Masons
-
"Caring
at Christmas" weekend - shop for an adopted family that is otherwise
unable to provide for themselves
Devotions:
Our
devotions are not of the traditional kind, yet they meet the needs of today's
youth

"Survivor
challenge"

"Walking
on the water"
S.U.P.P.E.R.
CLUB
(Serving, Uniting, Praying,
Playing, Eating, and Reaching Out)
Meetings are Thursday nights in the church parsonage from 6:30-8:00pm.
Fun:
The
highlight of our year includes our Annual Youth Conference Retreat held at
Harvey Cedars, New Jersey.

Upcoming Events
The Synod youth gathering, know as
FLY, Fellowship of Lutheran Youth, will be the weekend of February 23-25.
The cost is $135 if you get your
money in by December 31. Please see Janet Neff or Joy Fraunfelter
for forms and sign ups.
