To Honor and Celebrate Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary, Grace will highlight new  Environmental Ministry Volunteer Opportunities!  Taking care of the world we live in is just as important as taking care of each other.

Environmental ministry events update
Due to the social distancing requirements, the environmental ministry events have been canceled for April.  But don’t despair!  There are still ways to help make a difference in the environment while social distancing.  As you are walking around outside, carry a small trash bag and pick up trash as you find it.  If you would like to track what you find, there is an app for that!  https://www.litterati.org/
Litterati is a fantastic app on the global level that allows users to report trash hot spots with pictures and geo-location.  It has been used to help raise awareness to where trash items are found and notify the manufactures of the trash so they can take some responsibility for it.

On the local level there is  https://www.perkiomenwatershed.org/
trashspot-app-intro which is used by the Perkiomen Watershed to find local areas with high levels of trash.  These areas are then included in the local clean up events. The next event will be October 31st.
