2022-2023
Stepping Stones
This year we are starting a stepping stones ministry in which each grade level has a specific goal to learn at the end of the year. If youth can articulate that knowledge of faith, they earn a stepping stone, a stone charm that symbolizes what they learned that they add to a necklace, bracelet, or bookmark. As youth continue throughout our program, they will be able to collect these stepping stones up to high school graduation.

5 Year old & Under (Kindergarten & Under) Class
We will discover and learn about baptism, church holidays, and sign of the cross in this age group! To receive a stepping stone, they should be able to tell us about different church holidays and why the cross is an important sign in our faith.

Elementary Classes (1st – 2nd; 3rd – 6th)
Our 1st and 2nd graders will be exploring prayer, Lord’s Prayer, and communion over the course of the year. They should be able to recite (and articulate in their own words) the Lord’s prayer, understand why we pray, and understand why we do communion as Lutherans for a stepping stone.
3rd – 6th graders will focus on Jesus as man AND God by diving into the Gospels and learning about Jesus’ parables and miracles. There is the parable stepping stone, miracle stepping stone, and Jesus is man & God stepping stone for this age.

Confirmation
7th & 8th graders are invited to join us for our confirmation program! Letters and emails are going out this week with details! Your teachers are Julie Buckwalter & Beth Matzke. We are excited to dive deep into faith!
