Prayer Garden Update – “Buy a Brick Program” Information.

Join in the creation of this wonderful, sacred space and buy a personalized brick!
Or just make a donation!
Be a part of a lasting legacy!

Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Stebner and I am a member of the congregation at Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford. A space for outdoor prayer is one thing that many communities lack.  Creating an outdoor prayer garden and labyrinth allows for people to be closest to whatever higher power they choose in a setting that invites peace. It will be a space that can be used for other community groups to have conversations that further the church’s ministries outside of the church walls. My project would incorporate many different plants and pollinators that would have great benefits. A labyrinth is an ancient pattern with a single in-direct path to a clear destination and is intended to be a reflective experience.
In order to create this garden we plan to create a pathway using 8 inch by 8 inch paved Belden bricks. The garden will have a paved center with a bench to create a space for anyone to use.
To help bring this vision to life, we are offering the opportunity to purchase engraved bricks that will be used in the construction of the labyrinth and garden pathways. These personalized bricks are a meaningful way to honor a loved one, commemorate a special occasion, or leave a lasting mark of support within the community. The bricks are a 8×8 inch brick that features at max 6 lines and 18 characters with the option to add a logo as well. The sale has been extended through the first Sunday of Sept.  The prices of the bricks range in personalization so the prices vary from $45-$65. A separate donation in any amount may be given as well. Please contact Kaitlyn with questions or they can email if, anyone has questions or issues with an order.
Each contribution not only helps fund the project but also becomes a permanent part of this peaceful and sacred space. Thank you for considering being part of something special.

Registration Is Open for the Women’s Retreat

Women from Grace are once again invited to a day-long retreat, on Sat., October 4th, to be held at the Farmhouse at Temenos Retreat Center in West Chester.

To register, please use this Sign Up Genius Link:

If you are unable to register via the link, please contact Deacon Allison or the Church Office. (Keep in mind that registration will be limited to 20 attendees due to space constraints, so registration will close when we have reached that amount).

This is a great way to enjoy the company of other women in our congregation & have some fun, while learning along the way. Temenos has a beautiful facility and we will have the opportunity to enjoy the nature surrounding it. Coffee, snacks & lunch will be provided. (If you are able to bring a snack or drink to share, that would be appreciated. You can sign up for something to bring when you register).

The cost for the retreat will be $35 per person, to cover our retreat house & supplies. Scholarships will be available. Please let Deacon Allison know if the cost is prohibitive.  If you have questions, contact Deacon Allison either in the church office or at deaconallison12@gmail.com. Also, please let her know if you’re interested in attending a group dinner at an area restaurant following the retreat.

Members of Grace, we would like to offer the opportunity for fresh flowers at our services. We will have available a pedestal (or 2) where the flowers can be placed in the front of the church. You supply the vase and the flowers, and take them home after service. You may share the beauty of your home-grown flowers or purchase a small arrangement. No reservations required, just let your spirit guide you! We will, however, continue to use our artificial arrangements behind the altar.

I want to help but…
I want to serve and know that I should but…
I feel God tugging at me to do more but…
I want to be a part of ministry at church but….

I’m too busy,
I don’t know how,
I don’t like to talk about God,
I______ you fill in the blank.

Grace has lots of ways you can help.  Most don’t take much time or previous knowledge.  We provide any training & supplies needed.
You get to meet & serve with great people and feel good too!  Join us and help us grow, love and serve!  Call or email the church office at 610-948-3684 or gracelutrn@verizon.net, for more information on any of these opportunities.

Caring Crafters meet on Wednesdays, in the All Purpose Room, 10-11:30am

Our group does simple crafts in service to our church community.  We make & send cards to our homebound, Grace staff or Grace family members.

Color to relax or bring any crafts you may be working on!  We finish each session with prayers for our family, country & members at Grace.

If you have some time, on a Wednesday morning,  join us for crafts, fellowship & friendship.  All ages are welcome. Come when you can. We don’t take attendance!!

Join us for continued socializing with lunch at our local diner afterwards!  Questions?? call Sue Perry or the church office.

In response to a question at the annual meeting…  If you want to make scheduled contributions to the church without using Simply Giving, that charges 2.75% on the amount of each donation, simply do online banking with your  financial institution.  You can select a frequency of weekly, monthly, or annual, along with the date of the transaction.  I’ve done this with my bank for more than 10 years without any fees.  It is quite easy & you can to make changes any time desired.  Last year Grace was charged more than $700 for donations through Simply Giving. Feel free to reach out to me at Council President, Kurt Meyers with questions or concern.
